Hydraulic Service Engineer -
(Palmerston North)

Dewtec are hydraulics specialists. Hydraulic problems are repaired on site, or in our workshops where our team are known for solving just about any hydraulic problem. Mobile or fixed plant, contracting, agricultural, transport, forestry and defence hydraulics are our business.
Dewtec is looking for an experienced hydraulics technician (or someone with an allied trade and the desire to learn new skills).
This is a hands on role based in our busy Palmerston North workshop covering the lower North Island and would suit someone with hydraulic skills or someone who has experience in diagnosing and solving mechanical problems.
We manufacture and service all sorts of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment so this is a varied and interesting role.
(This is a full time position and is only open to candidates with the right to work in New Zealand)
If you have most of the following skills for this job please apply;
- Hydraulic trouble shooting experience (preferred)
- Experience in the disassembly, inspection, repair and test of mechanical and or hydraulic components
- Ability to read hydraulic/pneumatic system drawings
- Good mechanical skills
- Able to think for yourself
- Self disciplined and tidy habits
- Able to communicate with customers at all levels
Like to be part of a team but can work unsupervised
